Siso Nkambule

Out of the southern part of Africa a beautiful country of eSwatini, comes one of Africa’s most fine and soothing voice that of SISO NKAMBULE. Sibusiso "siso" Nkambule was born in the rural areas of Sigangeni in eSwatini. He describes himself as representing a new generation of African musicians. From his early years Siso was shaped and influenced by music. His father an artist himself had inspired him to play guitar, he is also inspired by nature and people. His music of African folk with elements of west African rhythms and African jazz. His first 10 track album "INDLELA" recorded in Capetown and Johanneburg will be released in 2020. He had performed in most countries in Sothern Africa, including one of the most highly ranked festival in the world "The Bush Fire Festival 2016 and 2017". Siso is a self taught acoustic guitarist,mbira player,vocalist, composer and arranger. He sings in his native language "Siswati", his lyrics are mostly about social, development and spirituality issues. He wishes to make a positive change in his environment and community through his music, a wish to see Africa united, a message to all Africans that we need to stop xenophobic acts to one another and stick together ,we are all Africans. He is also inspired by artist like Vusi Mahlasela, Madala Kunene, Dr Philip Tabane, Habib Koite, Toumanni Diabate, Salif Keita, Rokia Traore, Tcheka, Teta, Manu Dibango,Oumou Sangare, Smiles Makama,Richard Bona, Seckou Keita, Simphiwe Dana and Thomas Mapfumo. "Music expresses itself through sound, but sound in itself is not yet music, it is merely the means by which the message of music or its content is transmitted."

Theresa N'gambi

Theresa Ng’ambi is a talented Zambian folk singer. On stage she relates herself to Kanjiba a bird that sings stories, born in Lusaka on in the 80s. While her peers were playing hip-hop and nu-soul, Theresa Ng’ambi explored a more traditional sound. Theresa is a storyteller and a poet, her traditional musical style is inspired by of her forefathers sound and the thumb piano to make her childhood dream a reality. Her guitar supports the real instrument that is her melodic voice which transports and transfixes her audiences back to a time in Zambian history. Theresa’s music is cross generational,She has shared stages with the likes of Maureen Lilanda, Hugh Masekela, Sakala Brothers. In 2018 Theresa Ng'ambi was awarded "Best singer 2018" at the Zambia Women Awards. She was a performer on the TEDxLusaka 2019. She is a conservationist and a brand Ambassador for Birdwatch of Zambia.
